I don't know where to begin--- in terms of catching up.  The thumbnail sketch is that I now live in the Boston
area (last 20 years), and before that, in San Francisco.  I work as an applied sociologist who provides program
evaluation consulting services to national and local non-profits, philanthropies, and higher education institutions. 
Over the years,  I have worked in a variety of occupations including railway worker; emergency room clerk; instructional
designer of educational video materials; and assistant director of a national association of college presidents.  I earned a
BA in English from UCLA, an MA in Education from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Brandeis
University.  For the last ten years I have operated a "mini" consulting firm. Oh yeah, and  I recently had a poem
entitled “Clown Car” accepted for publication in a tiny poetry mag called Up and Under Review.  I am married 
to a wonderful woman who is a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts, and we have one
unbelievably wonderful daughter who just turned 12.  (Yes, I know I am old enough to be her grandfather, but what can I say,
I am now, and always was,  a slow starter.)
